  • m40 Ring set 34

    Gday,
Is there a ring set m40a1 type that can fit a 34mm tube I have a schmidt bender I would like to put on my m40a1 not my first choice but its near impossible to find an MST-100 In australia and importing one costs about another $600 due to ITAR.
I have a bring back ring set with a bushnell in it and its just not cutting it for me.

    Thanks

    Is your A1 clip slotted?
If it is,you could use the Badger or Ross base but these use 8/40 screws as opposed to the 6/48’s.So you may have to fill the base holes & redrill or open up your receiver screw holes.
Or,you could get an A1 base, remove the rings & mill it to suit your bases.
Or a set of Leupold Mk4 bases.

What base are your trying to match up with rings? A lugged M40A1 base with the welded in rings, or the later rail? I have a pair of 34MM rings that are the twist in style that fit on a Redfield base like used on the bases for the M40. Not sure if the rings are Redfield or Leupold?
