  • Shooting my 1903A4

This A4, was sold from Norwegian Army in the 1950/60’s. Hens to Lion stamp on reciver. Condition is as nos. But its M73B1 scope is so coarce reticel, I did a change to Lyman Alaska (M81),mountet it, and hit the range today. Freezing my nuts of, I did just a fast trip. Had to see if it worked. And sure did. I have a factory new C stock incomming next. Thiz scant stock is better for wall hanging.

    Great looking A4!
"...But they would never find anything to beat the old Springfield ...the long sleek streamline, very slim but with potent bulges, all in the just exactly right places to give it that pugnaciously forward-leaning, eager look that marked the Springfield. Beside it, the M1 looked like a fat old man puffing with a lack of training...the two most beautiful things made in America were the ax-handle and the clipper ship? ...they should have added one more thing: The Springfield '03 rifle..."

Agree the lyman is a more robust scope, just love the looks of the m73.

great rifle. though the scope pic really puts the low magnification into perspective.
