  • Another smear, another build

After a couple years of being after this stock from a buddy, I managed to snag this one just in time for my (and the USMCs) 10-Nov birthday.
Plans are early a1 with a Redfield. Will use either a Douglas or a Schneider tube and 6 digit action.
Of note is the ground front swivel to facilitate bipod use.

You have the action yet? If not, I think that there is one listed on the Hide.

That's a unique color on a smear. I like it a lot. Keep us updated on build. I have one I need to move on but keep stalling. The whole $$$ thing. Ha.

Another piece of the puzzle showed up today. Denver era Accu-Range 3x9. Looks pretty good in the 2nd Gen rings/base. Search continues for a suitable 6 digit. I'll get the Hart barrel ordered soon and then it's nailing down a builder.

That's a gorgeous smear, definitely glad you were able to get it, like D_TROS said its a very unique colored smear, I have only seen a couple of them similar to it, that's going to be a nice early A1.
