  • Barrel blanks

I just picked up a couple of barrel blanks in .30 cal. They were made by H-S Precision, stainless, no threads or contour: 26.25"x 1.25". The labels state Prescott, AZ, and they have since moved and cannot find a value. So what are they worth? I would think they would make a good M40 clone. Not a clue.

Those are decent blanks made for H-S Precision, IIRC.

The thing that most of us get wrapped up in is trying to convert short range bench rest knowledge to long range. Long range has "big" wind and that is the key. You can lose a BR contest by a few thou not calling the wind correctly, but you can miss a target entirely in long range not calling the wind correctly.

These H-S Precision barrels are easily capable of sub (if not half) moa. And, are up to the task of quality long range shooting.

Now, I just need to find the right person that can turn these down to what they need.
