  • Strider M40A3 knife

Not sure if you guys have seen this before (it's been out for a few years now), but here's a cool piece of kit that commemorates the M40A3 in knife form:

Kinda cool, but I'd have to wrap the handle with 550 cord or something. Not a bad price though.

Interesting choice of cartridge to market it with. Looks like an 8mm Mauser that was at one time covered in blood and then rusted. No doubt it would need at least parachord, if not some kind of nice handmade grips.

I don't really get the shot holes in the handle. Kind of look like puffy, happy, clouds. Understand their usefulness to lighten the blade or tie a lanyard but I guess I'd rather have a 7/16 or 1/2 inch hex maybe a multi hex do that but than I guess it would look like every other "survival" prepper knife on the market. Besides everyone knows on a 5 shot group the 5th shot is always out, how unrealistic of them.

Their Chuck MaWhinney knife looks good

and their take on the Kabar looks clean if really big as all KaBars are.

"...But they would never find anything to beat the old Springfield ...the long sleek streamline, very slim but with potent bulges, all in the just exactly right places to give it that pugnaciously forward-leaning, eager look that marked the Springfield. Beside it, the M1 looked like a fat old man puffing with a lack of training...the two most beautiful things made in America were the ax-handle and the clipper ship? ...they should have added one more thing: The Springfield '03 rifle..."
